Annette is working on a second full-length poetry collection, which deals with her genealogical obsession and the surprising secrets she found (and continues to find) in her matrilineal line (her mother's mother's mother, etc.). The poems explore how these hidden issues have reverberated throughout several generations of her family on an unconscious level.
Two Sylvias Press (Annette is co-founder and co-editor) has just released The Poet Tarot and Guidebook: A Deck of Creative Exploration. The Poet Tarot is currently available on the Two Sylvias Press website. Two Sylvias Press has also released a poetry exercise book: The Daily Poet: Day-By-Day Prompts For Your Writing Practice by Kelli Russell Agodon and Martha Silano. The Daily Poet is available in both print and Kindle (Amazon) and is for sale at all major online/offline bookstores, as well as available from independent book sellers.
In partnership with Seattle area visual artist, Melissa McCanna, Annette has recently co-founded Kingston Artist Tree: A Visual Art and Writing Collaborative. In a serene studio space above J'aime Les Crepes Creperie in downtown Kingston (near the Kingston Ferry), Melissa and Annette will be leading art and writing workshops/classes and will be renting out the studio to other artists/writers for readings, workshops, classes, and any art-related gatherings. The studio space also serves as an art gallery and will be featuring Melissa's work as well as the work of other Seattle area artists. Check out more information about Kingston Artist Tree on Facebook (KAT website coming soon).
